Introduction

Nguyen Phi Long is an interdisciplinary researcher specializing in sustainable energy systems, advanced battery energy storage, and smart electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructures. He received his Ph.D. in Plasma Science and Applied Physics from Kanazawa University, Japan, following an M.Sc. and B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Hanoi University of Science and Technology. He was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Applied Laser Technology Institute, Japan Atomic Energy Agency, where he developed strong expertise in high-power laser technologies before transitioning to green energy and e-mobility research. He has extensive experience working with the Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam (MOST), Vietnam Electricity (EVN), and Viettel Group, where he has been involved in research, development, and deployment of high-tech products and advanced engineering solutions. His current work focuses on modeling and optimizing smart EV charging networks integrated with renewable energy sources and battery energy storage systems, applying game theory and AI-based optimization to improve cost efficiency and operational performance. He is currently a Research Fellow at VinUniversity and a Lecturer at Hanoi University of Industry. He is also a Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
