Dr. Hoang Bao Long received his Medical Doctor (MD) degree from Hanoi Medical University in 2012 and his Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from Johns Hopkins University in 2021. He worked as a study doctor at the Oxford University Clinical Research Unit in Hanoi from 2014 to 2019, a research manager and epidemiologist at the Institute of Gastroenterology and Hepatology in Hanoi from 2018 to 2023, and has served as a lecturer in epidemiology and biostatistics and an epidemiologist at the College of Health Sciences, VinUniversity since 2023. Dr. Long is also a research consultant for multiple public and private hospitals and an invited instructor for epidemiology and biostatistics courses at hospitals and universities across Vietnam. His research interests span a wide range of areas in medical research, including epidemiologic study design, causal inference, and statistical methods in clinical research. He is particularly interested in measurement, measurement error, and latent variable modeling. Dr. Long has co-authored nearly 40 papers in peer-reviewed international journals, many of which he contributed to as the lead in study design, data analysis, and manuscript development. He was a senior investigator on two national grants funded by the Ministry of Science and Technology and is currently a senior investigator on a ministry-level grant funded by the Ministry of Health.
