Introduction

Dr. Linh is currently Deputy Dean, College of Health Sciences - VinUniversity – a member of Vingroup JSC. He oversees the Health Sciences programs at VinUni but mainly focus on Undergraduate Medical Education. He is also a member of Vinmec Executive Research Council, Vinmec-VinUni Ethical Review Committee and Scientific Review Committee. Before joining Vingroup, Dr. Linh worked for 18 years at Hanoi School of Public Health (now: Hanoi University of Public Health) – the first and only university in the area of Public Health in Vietnam. At HSPH, he served at different positions: chair of Dept. of Demography, head of Dept. of Graduate Education, chair of the Institutional Review Board of Bio-medical ethics, and most recently - head of Dept. of External Relations and Cooperation. As an associate professor in Health Sciences, he taught demography, population and development, research methodology, research ethics, biostatistics and data analysis, injury epidemiology and prevention, and some other courses. Dr. Linh was national advisor for two rounds of National Survey Assessment of Vietnamese Youth in Vietnam. He is also a researcher and advocator of injury prevention in Vietnam with contribution to the law and policies on road traffic safety. Besides burden of injury and adolescent health issues, his interests include population and reproductive health, applied information technology in health, public health and medical education. Dr Linh provided technical support as short-term consultant to numerous projects and organizations including EU, WHO, UNFPA, UNICEF, etc. in Vietnam, China, Laos, The Philippines, etc. From December 2012 to December 2013, he served as international key expert for Institutional and Technical Support Project - a European Union funded project to Government of India at National Institute of Health and Family Welfare in New Delhi.
