Introduction

Hoang Mai Duy, MSc, graduated from Queen’s University Belfast with a master’s degree in Medicinal Chemistry. With a strong background in laboratory practice, Duy currently serves as the Lab Manager of the preclinical teaching lab, where he oversees the operation and assures students’ safety while learning in the lab. As one of the first researchers in Vietnam to study plastination, which is a superior method to preserve biological specimens under normal room conditions, Duy aims to bring novel and affordable material mixtures to use in plastination technique to benefit medical education and other fields of education in Vietnam.
