Introduction

Dr. Quan Nguyen, a Vingroup Scholar, is an early-career epidemiologist interested in using data and research to better understand health problems and support decision-making, especially in resource-limited settings. He completed medical training at Hue University and earned a Master of Public Health in epidemiology and biostatistics from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Before his time at VinUniversity, Dr. Quan has collaborated with a research team at Nagasaki University and has served as a senior collaborator with the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation’s GBD program. He has published over 20 peer-reviewed articles across infectious diseases, clinical research, and evidence synthesis. Dr. Quan believes that good evidence is not just about numbers – it’s about asking right questions and making sense of real health issues – to support better decisions and outcomes in the real world.
